Plant Manager Mouscron

Schelstraete Delacourt is looking for a Plant Manager for Clarebout Potatoes' site in Mouscron.

Clarebout Potatoes is a leading producer of frozen potato products for sale under private label. The company has a turnover of approximately one billion euros and employs 2,400 people. The company is strongly export-oriented and sells its products in more than 120 countries around the world. Clarebout Potatoes supplies customers in the retail and food service segments (catering and quick-service restaurants) as well as in the food and animal feed industries.

We are currently looking for an experienced Plant Manager for the production site in Mouscron.

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing the production site, which operates on a continuous shift system with more than 550 employees. The focus is on ensuring the efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity of production activities. The Plant Manager also plays a crucial role in managing teams, maintaining good social relations, and promoting efficient cooperation within the group structure.

The Plant Manager is responsible for:

• Managing the operational processes at the production site in Mouscron.
• Setting clear objectives and monitoring team performance to ensure efficient, high-quality production within a continuous work schedule.
• Managing the production site's budget and identifying optimizations while maintaining quality and safety.
• Ensuring strict compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations to guarantee the highest product quality.
• Prioritizing the safety of our employees by ensuring that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
• Leading, motivating, and developing our teams to promote a positive working environment and maximize the potential of our employees.
• Maintaining constructive social relationships to maintain a harmonious working environment.
• Collaborating with other production sites within the group, participating in consultations, and sharing best practices to promote synergies and efficiency.

We are looking for a Plant Manager who:

• Is fluent in French.
• Has at least 10 years of experience as a Plant Manager in the food industry, preferably with experience in full-time production environments and in a group structure.
• Has experience in managing a large site or several small sites with at least 200 employees.
• Has excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Has strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Has proven experience in managing relationships with social partners and trade unions.
• Has thorough knowledge of production processes, quality control, and food safety.
• Has the ability to prepare and manage budgets and identify optimizations.
• Has strong organizational and analytical skills to coordinate ongoing activities and collaborate with other branches of the group.
